It was 32 years ago, 1977, the week of Thanksgiving, that Rick Jason opened The Wine Locker. He had a grand opening party that weekend here in the parking lot and served 32 quarts of chili, not from Chasen’s, but Rick’s own recipe.

A lot has happened in the last three decades, but our commitment to provide the finest and the most ideal cellaring conditions for your wine remains the same. It has also become a community where friendships have been made, wines shared and traded and dinners organized and enjoyed.

The Wine Locker could not have enjoyed its longevity and success without your support. To show our thanks and appreciation, Cindy hosted a 30th anniversary celebration two years ago in the same parking lot, except this time it was tented and the food was catered. There were door prizes and drawings. Tenants took out bottles from their lockers to share with one another. There were about 100 guests and maybe a total of 10 cases were opened and consumed. So, we are looking forward to our 35th!!!!!
